Wasps, wasps and more wasps!

Greetings BAye Hive!
Recently I discovered that things in my life seem to happen doubly. (Please reference my blog contribution on January 9th.) However, being the curious person that I am, I had to dig a little for a specific repeated occurrence that has followed me to Texas from Virginia making this particular occurrence a quad effect. Two times two...anyway moving on because numbers are another post altogether.

Backstory:

Back in April of 2018, I shared a traumatic event with my Facebook family that I wholeheartedly believed was going to be my last day on earth. I was surprised by an unwelcomed guest in my home that had me on edge for two days straight. Fast forward to 2019, and sure enough, I dealt with another unwelcomed guest of the same family. In my mind, this visitor was undoubtedly seeking revenge for the untimely demise of it's loved one the past year but it too ultimately met the same fate. A win for this self proclaimed "Candy-girl" since I'm apparently oh so sweet!

Present Day:

Since moving to Texas, keep in mind it is January, I have seen two wasps in my apartment on two separate occasions. Fortunately for me, these unwelcomed guests were a little less imposing but present all the same. They too joined their distant family members in the wasp afterlife but it got me wondering. Why have wasps been so consistent over the last couple of years? In my quest to be more aware of my surroundings and the symbolism of things I began to do a little research.

According to the folks over at www.theastrologyweb.com, a wasp symbolizes involvement, order, development, teamwork, construction, challenge, communication, efficiency, fertility, and intelligence. Being a creature of the spring season, it also embodies new beginnings (The Astrology Web Contributors, n.d.). Now, I'm not saying this is the absolute truth but it is interesting and actually pretty accurate based on this period of my life.

Then I happened upon www.whats-your-sign.com and oh boy! This site echoed some of the same symbolism from the previous site and also provided a bit more insight. According to Avia, wasps in some African traditions, are a symbol of evolution, and control over our life circumstances. She also adds that the wasp might be a sign that we may need to express ourselves more clearly (Venefica, n.d.). At this point, I'm all in my feelings and my annoyance toward wasps is decreasing...slowly but I'm glad I took this little journey and I'd like to share a few of the questions she posed on her site with you all.

I'm going to be the wasp appearing in your life today! According to Avia, you should be asking yourself the following after encountering the wasp:
  • “Are all my affairs in order?”
  • “Am I aligning myself with my goals?”
  • “Am I procrastinating about something?”
  • “Am I keeping myself from reaching my highest potential?”
  • “Am I allowing my progress to be held back by others?” (Venefica, n.d.).

?????????????

As I progress on my poised journey, I try to take the opportunity to learn as much as I can in all areas. This little quest for insight was intriguing and thought provoking. Most importantly, even if I'm not an all in follower of astrology at this point, I definitely believe that life is symbolic. My takeaway, we are all a work in progress. At times we need little reminders to keep us on track or possibly reevaluate our current course. Don't fret, keep pushing!

Until next time remain...
